Fitting Frames

Fitting Frames, established in 1987 by Jaspal Singh and Helen Richardson, has been successfully framing works of art for a diverse range of clients from artists, photographers and designers to members of the public who are looking for high-quality workmanship at affordable prices.

We provide a complete framing service for all types of artwork including oil painting, drawings, watercolours, pastels, prints, photographs, textiles, collage and three dimensional pieces.

We stock a wide selection of different types and styles of moulding including gilt and aluminium mouldings. However, our speciality is plain wooden profiles in modern and classic shapes which are available in several different timbers which we obtain from sustainable sources.

We are happy to take the time it needs to select the right frame and mount for your work, and can mix a stain or paint colour to suit the art. Various waxes can be applied to enhance the natural wood. Alternatively, frames can be left bare for you to apply your own finish if preferred.

All our mounting materials are conservation and museum quality to provide the best protection from acids and atmospheric pollution which can seriously damage your work. We also offer uv filtering glass or perspex to provide protection from sunlight.
